Hello to all RBKC tenants & leaseholders.

The current situation of the TMO is quite dire, and since we do not have any way to communicate & consult with each other, I have decided to start this blog as a way to centralise information, as well as possible action plans.

I have been a TMO tenant myself since 2004. Like most other tenants, I have been seriously frustrated all those years by the way the TMO has been handling the management of its housing stock, and the way it has been treating us.

Right now (28 Sept 2027), the TMO has called an AGM for 17 October 2017 (in a letter dated 22 Sept 2017), recommending that we vote for its dissolution, with the dire prediction that if we do not, "the TMO could quickly become insolvent and wound up with the loss of services and jobs". This, after the normal AGM was cancelled with no consultation whatsoever.

It is high time we get organised and make our voices properly heard, hence the reason for starting this blog. All TMO tenants & leaseholders are welcome to contribute, and not just in the comments. Send your articles & thoughts to bdeflorence@gmail.com.

Concerning the 17 October vote, it is my opinion that this is not enough time for us to make an informed decision. I am hesitating between asking for the vote to be postponed so we can be clearer about what the future holds, or to vote NO. I am very clear that the one thing which MUST NOT happen, is for the management of where we live to be passed onto a private company, as for them, it will simply be another notch on their balance sheet. However, you must all make your own decision.

See you all at the 17 October AGM.
